Since 1986, Annemarie and Graham Brookman have turned 37 acres north of Adelaide into one of Australia’s most respected permaculture demonstration farms. The Food Forest grows more than 160 varieties of organic fruit, nuts, grain, eggs, honey, and native foods on a dry Mediterranean site.

It is also a long-running school: countless students have earned their Permaculture Design Certificate here, learning how a productive, biodiverse system can thrive with very little water.
